Fauer reports the lenses will be “light, small, and fast”. The look that these lenses will provide will be “silky smooth, film-look, excellent for digital sensors” said Andres Valles, owner of Servicevision.

Planned focal lengths include an 18mm, 25mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, 105mm, all T1.4 and will be released in 2019 with a 40mm to follow.

  • Appx 1.65kg
  • PL, LPL, XPL Mount

Fauer also notes that the new Ultrascorpia 70 lenses are designed by the same team that brought us the Scorpio FFA Full Frame Anamorphic lenses with a new optical and mechanical design, built in Barcelona Spain.

  1. Is it that they simply don’t have West Coast USA market penetration? I remember being super excited for Scorpio Anamorphics like 10 years ago, and nothing ever really came of it. Are Scorpio lenses used heavily anywhere in our industry outside of Espana? Just curious because it seems they innovate and make cool stuff (on paper), but I never see it, get to use it, or even hear about it being used in the wild in the USA. Just curious.
