I say database… But it’s really just a list trying to sound official.
So basically, RED has given the world a great deal of technology at a great price. But they also induced many a headache with different sensor sizes, resolutions, specs, and names. To make things a little easier, I’m compiling a list of lenses that pass through the shop and recording their image circle, or the diameter that they will cover without vignetting. This list will simply show you what the lenses are capable of. Feel free to comment on this post if you see any discrepancies or want a specific lens added. I want this to be as accurate as possible. Also note that the sensor/format sizes are generalized. There are a ton of different industry standards. There are several dozen formats that fall under 4 perf 35mm film alone.

Great job! I’m encouraged to see my UPs are very comparable if not better in some cases to the RPPs in terms of image circle.
How much vignetting or falloff in sharpness or illumination do you see with UPs vs RPPs?
And why not list the 11-16mm? I love it, BTW….

The light fall off on the RPP is some of the best I’ve seen, or lack thereof. The image on the RPP seems to be limited not by optics, but buy physical clipping. For example, the illumination seems to persist all the way to the lenses intended image circle, and then cuts off.

This has become one of my favourite references. I was hoping that you could add Zeiss Super Speeds and Lomo Anamorphics to your list the next time a set of either makes its way to you for service.

Thanks for your great effort of making this site. But it also would be a creative suggestion (I think) to add m4/3 to the list. C-mount lens becomes quite popular these days.
