ZEISS Cine Showroom Open House

On Thursday March 28th, ZEISS held their Cine Showroom Open House introducing their Sherman Oaks location to the filmmaking community. Guests were in and out of the bright space from 1pm – 7pm. Some lucky VIP guests were able to arrive at noon so they didn’t miss the ribbon cutting at 1 pm sharp.

Left to right: Tony Wisniewski, Snehal Patel, Kylie Hazzard

As you walk inside, the showroom exhibits the entire line of ZEISS cinema lenses encased against the white walls. To the left is an area for lens testing, complete with a mobile focus chart, a complete camera set-up and of course, ZEISS cinema lenses. Panning to the right are offices for Zeiss’ staff, each with tranquil windows; a juxtaposed view of the bustling 405 freeway, amongst other things.

In the back right corner is the projection room with the latest Gecko-Cam projector and bench for basic optical adjustments such as shimming. To the right of the floor space is the theater, filled with black reclining chairs and heavy black curtains to watch films (made with ZEISS lenses). Just before you walk towards the theater, there’s a lovely lounge area that wouldn’t be complete without it’s ZEISS pillows.

Catering was provided by the local restaurant Public School 818 and anyone who didn’t have the meatballs missed out. Actually, all of the food was spectacular.

If you weren’t able to attend (or even if you were), contact Duclos Lenses to schedule a demo with us at the new ZEISS facility. Our dedicated sales staff is just own the road and on-call for thorough product demonstrations at Zeiss new facility.

ZEISS Cine Lenses is located at 15260 Ventura Blvd. Suite 820 Sherman Oaks, CA 91403.
