Duclos Lenses has developed a conversion process for the Canon Cinema Eos CN-E Primes that provides a high quality, stainless steel PL mount that allows the primes including the 14mm, 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, and 135mm to be used with any PL mount camera.
The Canon CN-E primes are an excellent blend of price and performance that, until now, were limited strictly to Canon EF mount cameras. While the Canon CN-E primes were an excellent choice for shooters using a Canon EF body, these lenses are able to reach their full potential on a wide range of professional PL mount cinema cameras. The PL mount conversion utilizes the same industry standards and tolerances required by other high-end motion picture lenses, making the Canon CN-E primes a strong tool for cinematographers.
The PL mount Canon primes will be available soon, exclusively from Duclos Lenses. Pricing will be announced shortly – slightly higher than the standard MSRP. For customers who already purchased the Canon CN-E primes through Duclos Lenses, the conversion will be discounted in the standard Duclos-Loyalty fashion. Customers who purchased the Canon Primes elsewhere will be able to send their lenses in for the upgrade anytime. Turn around will be about 1-2 weeks. While the conversion is entirely nondestructive, the PL mount will not be user interchangeable.
